On this special trip to Aba, Mazi Onyemachi Chuku and Miss Uzoma, revisit a beautiful memory.
A Firm Recommendation
The day is 12th March, 2024 a few months shy of eleven (11) years since the day this beautiful piece of hand written document was drafted.
This unofficial recommendation had happened because Miss Uzoma often fondly showed her support for Mazi Onyemachi's music with the line "...music alone shall live never to die" and on the day she went a step further to put it into writing.
According to Miss Uzoma she learned those lines in her secondary school days in Orun, a proof of her retentive memory and general academic brilliance.
A True Confirmation
Even if the recommendation didn't secure her grandson a job it did at least give him the confidence of having a grandmother that believed in him long before it was popular to do so.
We also have to say a big kudos, to him for putting in the work required to make this granny's words fulfilling on hindsight.
Swapping Roles
If Mazi Onyemachi needed those words of encouragement and belief to keep going, Miss Uzoma at this point have leaned on her grandson for the same.
At eighty-nine (89) years old most of her best days are now behind her with just a few more "new experiences" to look forward to.
However, on this visit Miss is promised of getting two (2) cows on her ninetieth (90) birthday from her grandson so that she's encouraged to have something to live for knowing that;
"Onyi m na ri eburu m nnama ébuo"
Summary:
The words of Miss like music have lived through time and have come true.
So that still in the spirit of mother's day celebrations, we appreciate the words of godly mothers that speak favour in the lives of their children.
Awwwwwwwwnn, so nice.
My grandma... See intellect and fine handwriting now
